TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read this document carefully as it contains the terms and conditions that you agree to be bound by if you continue to use the THE LANESBOROUGH GIFT SHOP. These terms and conditions apply to any order placed for any product available on this Website.
By accessing our mail order or our website services you agree that you have read, understood and agreed the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not use or have access to our mail order or website service. DEFINITIONS

"The Lanesborough" refers to Lanesborough Management Limited whose registered office is situated at 12a Charterhouse Square, London, EC1M 6AX. "website" refers to the website located at www.lanesborough.com or any subsequent URL which may replace it "conditions" means the terms and conditions set out in this document "goods" means the articles supplied and displayed for sale on the website or available on mail order "delivery" means the delivery of any goods "Customer" refers to you the customer placing an order.

Users may view, print and download the contents of the website for personal use only; the contents must not be used for commercial purposes or incorporated in any publication in any form.

GENERAL CONDITIONS APPLICABLE

All orders for goods shall be subject to these conditions. Any variation of these conditions shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by The Lanesborough.

PAYMENT

All prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling and inclusive of UK Value Added Tax (“VAT”) at the relevant rate. Prices shown on the website do not include delivery, however delivery prices will be stated at the time of purchase for certain territories and wherever possible.
Whilst we use reasonable endeavours to keep prices up-to-date on the website, we reserve the right to alter prices at any time. Any change in price will be communicated to you prior to delivery of the relevant products. Payment of the price of an order must be received by The Lanesborough and cleared before delivery. Payment can be made by any major credit or debit card, and will be debited and cleared from your account before the despatch of your goods. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

WARRANTIES AND LIABILITIES

The Lanesborough warrants that services and goods will at the time of delivery correspond to the description given by The Lanesborough.

DELIVERY OF GOODS

Goods will be dispatched within 28 days of order being received wherever possible. The method and address for delivery shall be as specified in the customers order. Risk of damage or loss of the goods shall pass to the customer on delivery. Vouchers of any kind are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

RETURNS

In the event that your order is incorrectly shipped or defective, we shall give a full refund or replacement. Returns should be made within 14 days of the date of the invoice and sent back to us at Lanesborough Gift Shop, c/o Gunn Marketing and Design, The Temple, Euston, Norfolk, IP24 2QJ.
Provided you keep your receipt and the goods are unopened and it is within 14 days of the purchase date, you may exchange these goods or get a credit/debit card/cheque refund, depending on the method of your payment.

SECURITY

Credit card details are transferred to our mail order department in an encrypted format and payments are processed through a normal PDQ system. We do not store account numbers and your encrypted website order is held for only a limited period. We will only retain your address details if you indicate your desire to be included in our database and allocated a customer number. We will only share the information collected by the order form with any like minded outside group or organisation with your express permission. All financial transactions take place inside an SSL security system. By looking in the security dialogue in your browser you can inspect the identity of the security certificate owner and be certain that you are trading with The Lanesborough.

POLICIES

PRIVACY and DATA PROTECTION

Personal details: When you order, we will require your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, credit card number and card expiry date. Without this information we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.
A contact telephone number and email address will also be required so that we may contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order. When you register with us you can decide whether you would like to be sent notification of special offers, promotions and other correspondence from us via email. If, at any point in the future, you no longer wish to receive mailings from us please send an email or other written confirmation and we will remove your email address from our records.

Safety and Security of Your Information

We follow a tight security procedure as required under UK Data Protection Legislation (the Data Protection Act 1998) to protect the information that we store about you from unauthorised access.

OUR GUARANTEE

Subject to the conditions outlined below, we will be happy to make a refund or exchange. We ask that you return the goods unused unopened within 14 days and in their original packaging to The Lanesborough Gift Shop, c/o Gunn Marketing and Design, The Temple, Euston, Norfolk, IP24 2QJ.

Important Note

Due to the nature of some of the goods for sale via the The Lanesborough website, customers should be aware that once such goods have been opened The Lanesborough will not be able to offer a refund or exchange on such goods. Those goods that are unable to be returned or exchanged include, but are not limited to, Shampoos, Conditioners, Body lotions and or any other products, which by reason of their nature cannot be returned. Every care has been taken to ensure that the description and specifications are correct on our website. However, while the colour reproduction is a close representation, a very slight variation in the actual goods may occur.

VAT, DUTY and CUSTOMS

Vat and Duty
All prices on the site are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT). The current rate of VAT is 20%.

Conformity Of Goods
We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we make no guarantees for any variation in colour or shade caused by the computer system or browser software used by you.

Disclaimer and Limitations of Liability
The Lanesborough does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its member’s agents, directors or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law and save as provided above, neither The Lanesborough nor any associated company shall be liable to you by reason of any representation, implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of The Lanesborough or any of its members, agents, directors, employees or otherwise) for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.

References to The Lanesborough shall apply equally to The Lanesborough and any other associated company.

The limitations of liability in these conditions shall apply equally for the benefit of The Lanesborough and any other associated company of The Lanesborough as if references to The Lanesborough included references to each associated group company.

Whilst The Lanesborough uses reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information on this website is both accurate and up to date, it does not give any warranty as to its accuracy or completeness and The Lanesborough will not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results arising from the use or misuse of such information. The Lanesborough further reserves the right to edit, alter or amend such information without notice.
